This workshop was the first activity within the output 4.1., whose goal is the production of the methodology for the development of the training programmes based on learning outcomes. On the first day of the workshop, a brief overview of the existing training programmes was given through four presentations (AAE, CES, vocational secondary school, open university), and the objectives of the workshop were defined. On the second day, the participants established the criteria for the selection of sectors and occupations for which training programmes will be developed by special expert groups. On the basis of the presentation on the occupational standards and vocational qualifications development given by the Agency for Vocational Education and Training, workshop participants agreed about the same methodology being able to be adapted and used as a starting point for the production of the methodology for the development of the training programmes.
Sectors and occupations for which the training programmes will be developed in accordance with the new methodology were selected at the end of the workshop. The participants were asked to propose experts who would, as a special expert group, create the selected programmes and propose them to the participants of this workshop.
The next workshop has been announced to take place in mid-March 2008.
