As part of its expert advisory activities, the Agency for Adult Education, in cooperation with the CARDS 2004 Adult education project team, held a one-day training seminar on 24 November 2008. The topic was the usage of the AAE database application and it was held in the Civil Engineering and Graphic Arts School in Split.
32 adult education providers from the Split-Dalmatia County accepted the invitation to the seminar. The objective of this training seminar is to inform participants on how the database application functions as a preparation for the pilot testing of the application in the above mentioned county.
The pilot testing will start on 1 December 2008. It has two phases. The first phase will end in the third week of December. At this time, the database will be temporarily closed to providers so that the evaluation of testing results can be performed, all identified faults removed and the user manual updated accordingly. The second phase of the pilot testing will start in the second week of January 2009, when the database will be opened to further testing and will remain open till 1 February 2009. After that, the results will be evaluated and necessary modifications or additions will be made to the database and the user manual.
The objective of this testing is to obtain comprehensive feedback on the database application, so that its use can facilitate the performance of everyday work tasks.
